Plaza de España

This colorful complex consists of a massive semi-circular building with fountains, bridges, and benches with mosaic designs representing the different regions of Spain. Plaza de España, located in the Mariá Luisa Park in Seville was built in 1928 for the Ibero-American Expo in 1929. The expo was a world fair intended to improve damaged relations between Spain and other countries such as the US as a result of the Spanish-American war as well as former Spanish colonies in Latin America.
